Cool and the Cucumbers, a daytime choir based at Waitrose HQ in Bracknell, soared into second place at this year's PartnerSing - the national choral competition of the John Lewis Music Society. Judges awarded the choir a Distinction and commented on their "committed" and "spine-tingling" performance. The choir competed alongside much larger groups from across the UK, singing set pieces by ABBA as well as their own choice of a Swedish folk song. After winning the Award for Best Newcomer in 2016, Cool and the Cucumbers are going from strength to strength. They'll be going for gold in 2020!
